Becoming a Certified Medical Dosimetrist

The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) is the recognized certifying agency for Medical Dosimetry in the United States and administers the Medical Dosimetry Certification Exam and the maintenance of certification process. For more information about the MDCB, please visit .

Eligibility

To become eligible to sit for the board exam, the applicant must meet the criteria established by the MDCB. For eligibility requirements, please visit .

Effective for 2017 there will be one standard for all applicants. Candidates will be required to have a Bachelor of Science degree and have graduated from a formal medical dosimetry program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or foreign equivalent.
