Purpose:
The ½¿É«µ¼º½ is an international society established to promote and support the Medical Dosimetry profession. We provide opportunities for education, a forum for professional interaction and a representative voice in the healthcare community. The Society seeks to promote an ideal of professional conduct to which its members should aspire and endorses the highest standards of patient care.

Membership:
All memberships are calendar based and will expire on December 31 of the current year, despite of when a member joins or renews. Status of membership in the ½¿É«µ¼º½should reflect a member's current career position. Members are required to change their membership status as their position in the profession changes. New members who join between January 1 and September 30 will be members for the current membership year. Renewal notices are sent via email in October.
Membership Categories & Dues for 2025
- Full CMD Members: (USD $230 per year)
Full CMD Members are individuals who are certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB). These members receive all ½¿É«µ¼º½member benefits and have the right to vote, hold board positions, participate on a standing or ad hoc committee and vote. Also, this membership includes access to earn 12 CE credits in the ½¿É«µ¼º½CE Center. Qualification: Current MDCB cerification is required. The ½¿É«µ¼º½periodically reviews all member profile information, including MDCB Member ID numbers.
- Full CMD Member Plus: (USD $305 per year) - This optional membership offers the above referenced benefits AND access to earn an additional 13 CE credits in the ½¿É«µ¼º½CE Center. Therefore, Plus members will have access to earn a total of 25 CE credits during the calendar year.
- Professional Associate Members: (USD $230 per year)
Professional Associate Members are individuals who are interested in the field of medical dosimetry, but who are ineligible to be a Full Member. This member type is for those who not have an active MDCB ID number. This includes, but is not limited to, non-certified Medical Dosimetrists, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists and Radiation Therapists. They receive all member benefits except the right to vote or hold office. They may serve on a standing or ad hoc committee. Also, this membership includes access to earn 12 CE credits in the ½¿É«µ¼º½CE Center.
- Professional Associate Member Plus: (USD $305 per year) - This optional membership offers the above referenced benefits AND access to earn an additional 13 CE credits in the ½¿É«µ¼º½CE Center. Therefore, Plus members will have access to earn a total of 25 CE credits during the calendar year.
- International Members: (USD $180 per year)
International Members are individuals who live outside of the United States who are either certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board or interested in the field of medical dosimetry. This includes, but is not limited to, CMDs, non-certified Medical Dosimetrists, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists and Radiation Therapists or their recognized counterparts in a foreign country. They receive all member benefits including those of Member Plus. International Members may serve on a standing or ad hoc committee. ()
- Student Members*: (USD $80 per year)
Student Members are individuals who are full-time students enrolled in a JRCERT accredited or JRCERT applicant . Student members will receive full access to the Member Plus education activities, including electronic access to the Medical Dosimetry Journal. Student membership status shall extend for such time as the individual remains continuously enrolled in the medical dosimetry program, but not to exceed a period of two (2) years of annual dues payments. Student members are encouraged to serve in an advisory capacity to committees. () *Proof of enrollment will be required during the online application/renewal process. Please upload documentation to confirm your student status. Acceptable documents include: a copy of your school transcript, tuition statement, letter from your program director/advisor, copy of your school schedule, etc.
- Corporate Membership: (USD $500 per year)
Corporate Members are corporations who are interested in the field of medical dosimetry and the Corporation's involvement therein. They shall have all the obligations, rights and privileges of Full CMD Members except the right to vote, hold office, or serve on a standing or ad hoc committee; however, they may, and are encouraged to serve in an advisory capacity to committees. ()
- Retired Members: (USD $75 per year)
Retired Members are individual members who are 55 years of age or older, have been an ½¿É«µ¼º½member for at least 10 consecutive years and who request the membership committee to change their membership class to Retired Member. Retired members must apply for change of classification if returning to the workforce. They shall have all the obligations, rights and privileges of Full CMD Members except the right to vote, hold office, or serve on a standing or ad hoc committee; however, they may, and are encouraged to serve in an advisory capacity to committees. ()
- Honorary Members:
Honorary Members shall be individuals who have rendered outstanding service in the field of medical radiation dosimetry. Nominations for Honorary Members may be made by any member of the membership committee. Nominations must be written and must detail the individual's qualifications and contributions. The membership committee shall present the nomination to the Board of Directors. An affirmative vote of three-fourths of the Board of Directors is necessary for election to the classification of honorary member. They shall pay no dues, and shall have all the obligations, rights and privileges of Full Members except the right to vote, hold office, or serve on a standing or ad hoc committee, however, they may, and are encouraged to serve in an advisory capacity to committees.
Dues payments to the ½¿É«µ¼º½are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
